Iron Cup 2018

In March RioBotz went to Minas Gerais-BR to compete in the IronCup. The team brought back home three trophies from the four categories fought over the weekend.

RioBotz won first place in the Beetleweight category (3 pounds) with Mini Puma, and two silvers in the remote-controlled sumo and autonomous sumo, with C3 and C3+ robots.

The Beetleweight Mini Puma showed why he was one of the favorites, facing eight opponents, including Mini Touro, with an event record of 7-1. Mini Puma had already been a runner up in the 2017 Winter Challenge, and won first place in the RoadSec event in the same year. Mini Puma accumulates now a retrospect of 17 victories and only 2 defeats.

Nos dias 02 a 04 de março ocorreu em Santa Rita de Sapucaí-MG a IronCup. Das quatro categorias que participou no final de semana, a RioBotz voltou para a PUC-Rio com premiações em três delas. A RioBotz conquistou o ouro na categoria beetleweight – 1,3kg – com o robô Mini Puma, e duas pratas nas categorias sumô radio controlado e sumô autônomo, com os robôs C3 e C3+.

O beetleweight Mini Puma confirmou seu favoritismo após enfrentar oito adversários, incluindo o Mini Touro. Ele já tinha sido vice-campeão no Winter Challenge 2017 e campeão na RoadSec do mesmo ano. Até o fim desse campeonato, Mini Puma acumulava um histórico de 17 vitórias e apenas duas derrotas.
