HackTudo 2018

RioBotz got two medals competing with five robots at HackTudo, a national event in Rio de Janeiro from November 2nd-4th.

Our Antweights (up to 1 pound) competed among 21 robots. Micro Maloney achieved the fifth place in its category with a totally new and still evolving project. Unfortunately, Micro Touro was eliminated in the second round.

In the Beetleweight category (up to 3 pounds), two of our robots got the podium: Mini Puma got gold undefeated after winning 6 fights, achieving its fifth consecutive championship - a total of 35 wins and only 2 losses since its debut in July 2017.

Mini Touro won five times, losing to his fellow Mini Puma in the Winner’s Finals and to the drumbot "Matador" from team Troia in the Loser’s Finals, getting the bronze medal. Mini Maloney got four wins, getting fifth place.

We also highlight the Kamahi team, formed by former members of RioBotz. In their first competition, they won the fourth place in the antweight category with their wedgebot Cabritinha, and did a great job with the beetleweight vertical spinner Bode, congratulations!

We thank the support of our sponsors for this achievement: PUC-Rio, MaxAmps.com, Fingertech Robotics, MechWorks, Circuibras, Scorpion, MGM, Robotis, Treffer and Denai.
